New Plant Awards - Visitor Vote
The Visitor Vote Awards are a popular part of the National Plant Show. With over 100 plants to vote for, visitors are spoilt for choice and often have a tough decision on their hands when deciding their favourite plant. The Visitor Vote is announced on Wednesday afternoon, giving all visitors across both days the chance to choose their favourite plants.

Visitors to the HTA National Plant Show 2019 have voted Clematis Elodi from The Bransford Webbs Plant Company and The Guernsey Clematis Nursery as Best in Show at the New Plant Awards. The Visitor Vote Award, sponsored by Floramedia, proved extremely popular and with so many great entries in this year’s awards visitors were spoilt for choice.
The stunning distinctive mauve flowers, appear from spring above unusual dwarf, compact mound forming foliage. This wonderful variety will die down in autumn returning the following year, and grows well in full sun or partial shade, in moist, well-drained soil. It will grow to a height and spread of 30cm.

Best Herbaceous Perennial – Geum Fiery Tempest from Farplants
Best Houseplant – Anthurium Livium Red from Profitplant
Best Tree and Conifer – Cherrycot ‘Aprikyra’ from Frank P Matthews
Visitors also voted for their most inspiring retails stands and concepts at the events.
The winner of the Planting the Seed Award, which highlights stand displays that capture the imagination, provide clear information and attract attention was:
