Features at the Show

Hall 2 features

There will be a feature area of the show in Hall 2.  This will include daily seminars with guest speakers, the British Plant Fair Market Place, a ProVar area, the New Plant Area, merchandising displays for conifers and roses and the new PlantforLife Scentsational campaign.

New Plant Area

The New Plant Area will display all the entries to the New Plant Awards, sponsored by ProVar.  Visitors also have the chance to choose their own winner through the Visitor Vote, sponsored by Floramedia, for Best in Category and Best in Show - visit the New Plant Area and make sure your vote is counted at the show! Winners of the Visitor Vote will be announced at 3.30pm on Wednesday 30 June in Hall 2.

Seminars

There will be fourinformative seminars; two on each day of the show.  These will be given by experienced garden retail professionals, who will be able to answer any questions you may have.  Please click here to visit the seminars page.

Market Place

The Market Place gives you the opportunity to view shelf samples from many of the growers exhibiting at the show.  You will be able to place a central order for any combination of shelves with a total minimum order of just two trolleys.  Your order will then be delievered the following week with just one delivery note and one invoice.

Buying in the market place is an efficient way to source a broad range of stock from numerous growers, try out products that you have not offered before and as you are buying from sampled stock, be confident you know exactly what you are going to have delivered.

ProVar Area

ProVar is a not for profit organisation established to promote protected plants to its members in the UK and to collect royalties, we represent 17 breeders and 171 plants from the UK and Europe and offer the widest range of protected plants available to UK growers in a single catalogue.

This year we will be showing a range of new plants and established varieties which have not been available to our members previously.  Come and see us in hall 2, to see our new varieties.

Conifer & Rose Merchandising Displays

National Conifer Week will take place 2-10th October 2010.  There will be a PlantforLife Conifer Merhcandising stand at the HTA National Plant Show in order to help you merchandise your conifers to the max.

The HTA British Rose Group are launching their new merchandising guide which contains step by step tips to help you create stunning displays for the nation’s favourite plant.

These merchandising displays will give inspiration and direction to help you develop beautiful displays as well as showing the endless possibilities and varieties that you can have on display.  It will also encourage consumers to see how these plants can be displayed in their gardens.

Research has shown that a well thought-out display, in a good location, at the right time, can increase sales of a product by as much as 500%.  Come along to Hall 2 to check out all our merchandising tips and see our wonderful displays.

PlantforLife

PlantforLife will be showcasing their current campaign, Scentsational, by creating a scentsory stand at the show.  The campaign highlights the different health benefits scented plants can provide, such as relaxation and uplifting effects, encouraging consumers to plant them in their garden.

Top tips from aromacologist, Daniele Ryman and celebrity plantsman, Chris Collins, will be included in a scented guide that will be handed out at the show, so make sure you come and visit the stand.
